Everyone who came into my house for the first time has commented that everything is so clean and organized. Most importantly, I like to keep my kitchen spotless, including all the appliances and cookware. For the longest time I have been trying different cleaning tools for the kitchen, from those green scouring pads that left hideous scratch marks on steel, to the softer blue scouring pads that still scratched some surfaces, and various colorful sponges that don’t scratch but are too soft to clean heavy grime. I also tried various brands of scrubber sponges where one side has a scouring surface, and various scrubbers made of nylon or microfiber. I found that the scouring surface of those scrubber sponges always scratched non-stick surfaces, and accidental scratches were so common even when I tried to use only the sponge side. The scrubbers made of nylon didn’t absorb water well, and the microfiber ones didn’t remove heavy grime easily. One day I came across this Jetz Scrubz Scrubber Sponge that claimed to be safe on many surfaces including stainless steel and decided to give it a try.
The Jetz Scrubz Scrubber Sponge is quite an extraordinary product. It’s black, with a sponge on one side and a multi-purpose scrubber on the other.
The sponge side is firm enough that it doesn’t shed or deteriorate easily like regular sponges and the pores are small enough that food particles don’t get trapped inside. The sponge part works almost like one of those magic erasers, removing marks from all surfaces. The scrubber side works also on non-stick surfaces as well as stainless steel without scratching at all, and it is still strong enough to cut through serious grime.
The best part is that you can toss it in the dishwasher to clean and disinfect it, and it doesn’t release any odors even after having used it for several weeks! I use mine for cleaning glass, porcelain, cast iron wok, crystal, brushed and polished stainless steel, granite countertops, and non-stick baking pans and cookware. It just will not scratch any of these surfaces, even though I have scrubbed hard to remove heavy grime or sticky foods from them. I’ve used it to clean the inside of my oven. Apparently, it comes in both rectangular and round shapes, but I only have used the rectangular shaped one.
I have been using this Jetz Scrubz Scrubber Sponge for 2 years now and I am very satisfied with it. I only need to keep one in the kitchen at a time, and I throw it in the dishwasher about once a week. There’s no doubt that my kitchen and cookware have to withstand high use because I cook a lot. But I’ve found that this Jetz Scrubz Scrubber Sponge meets all my heavy and light kitchen cleaning needs and I find that I only need to replace it once every 6 or 7 months of daily use:
